** POSITION SUMMARY
** Drive a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Required to deliver propane to residential and commercial customers in a safe and efficient manner. Requires a class A commercial drivers' license with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - ALL DRIVER POSITIONS (including Bobtail)
**** Essential Functions Statement(s)**- Check vehicles pre and post trip to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order(DVIRs).

- Maneuver trucks safely into loading or unloading positions and check that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.

- Collect delivery instructions from Dispatch, verifying instructions and routes.

- Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.

- Report and document vehicle defects (DVIR), accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles to your supervisor.

- Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading as needed to comply with state and federal regulations.

- Safely drive trucks to transport and deliver products.

- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.

- Operate equipment, such as Samsung tablets, Samsara Driver App (Global tracking and electronic driver logs), Cargas,and cell phones, to exchange necessary information with dispatch, supervisors, or other drivers.

- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid, changing fuses or lights.

- Collect bills of lading (If applicable) or shipping papers and submit them to the office.

- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.

- Read and interpret directions and maps to follow vehicle route issued by Dispatch.

- Safely load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles, and using other equipment as necessary.

- Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.

- Immediately report truck maintenance issues to your supervisor.

- Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times.

- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, tire chains, or fuses.

- Obtain and maintain required CETP certification through the Propane Education & Research Council and Texas Railroad Commission certification (if based in Texas).

- Daily interaction with customers, providing exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries.

- Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.

- Couple or uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting, or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating fifth-wheel locks.

- Crank trailer landing gear up or down to safely secure vehicles.

- Accurately and thoroughly relay gallon total delivered to dispatch before leaving customer location.

- Email bill of lading paperwork with delivery location written on bill of lading to  Qualifications
