Position Summary
The Storekeeper reports directly to the Materials Supervisor and is supervised daily by the Lead Storekeeper. The role is responsible for operating a safe and efficient warehouse, providing materials to business partners in a timely manner, and working collaboratively with Inventory Control to maintain appropriate inventory levels. Responsibilities include operating equipment, handling materials, and managing all physical inventory movements while recording transactions in SAP.
Pay Range: $31.42 - $36.96 per hour (Determined by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement)

Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming
Essential Functions- Unload material, receive and check-in items, and store them in the warehouse.
- Ensure company safety policies, procedures, and work practices are followed; conduct safety meetings as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA‑compliant warehouse and yard, including scrap bins and wood piles.
- Respond to emergency callouts within 20 minutes when required.
- Process material tickets daily for entry into the computer‑based inventory system.
- Identify and coordinate unloading, planning, and handling of scheduled shipments.
- Support delivery notifications and monitor deliveries to meet schedule and PO requirements; verify invoiced materials upon receipt.
- Coordinate and execute all on‑site and off‑site deliveries.
- Assist in preparing reports, documents, and records for the material and maintenance management system.
- Maintain files and perform filing related to plant records and reports.
- Assist with office furniture moves for company employees when required.
- Represent the Materials Management function professionally at onsite management meetings.
- Provide courteous customer service to delivery drivers and warehouse customers.
- Assist with buying duties, including expediting shipments and collaborating with buyers on various issues.
- Work cooperatively with company and vendor employees.
- LIFT 50‑pound boxes continuously throughout the day.
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of 1 year in supply chain warehouse experience.
- Valid Driver’s License upon hire.
- Forklift Certification within 30 days of hire.
- Associate’s Degree in Business, Management, Leadership, or Supply Chain.
- Understanding of materials management procedures (unloading, receipt, check‑in, storage, control, issuance).
- Ability to prioritize work for timely completion.
- Ability to lift 50‑pound boxes continuously throughout the day.
- Proficiency in mathematical functions.
- Ability to make routine public contact with contractors, service personnel, and governing agencies.
- Judgmental decision‑making with minimal supervision.
- Ability to receive oral communications and instructions.
- Reading and understanding of technical information (contracts, equipment specifications, drawings).
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
- Commitment to safe work practices and providing stop‑work authority.
