Position SummaryPrairie State College is seeking an energetic Art Appreciation instructor to expand our pool of face-to-face adjunct faculty in person at our Chicago Heights campus for the Spring 2027 semester. Morning and Evening classes are available.
ResponsibilitiesSuccessful candidates will be responsible for effectively preparing, teaching, and assessing student learning and collaborating with their Dean and colleagues to improve the student learning experience. Candidates must be able to utilize a variety of technology-based programs related to student instruction.
Minimum QualificationsMA in Art History, MA in Art (with 15 graduate hours in Art History), MFA in a Visual Arts Discipline, or any Master’s Degree with 18 hours in the discipline.
Preferred QualificationsExperience teaching at the community college level is preferred.
SalaryAdjunct faculty members at PSC are paid by the number of hours they are in the classroom (contact hours). Pay Schedule for new adjunct faculty: $972.38 per credit hour
