Based in Chicago Heights, IL, Nufarm is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and contractors to perform equipment inspections, repairs, and equipment changes or additions. The position is responsible for planning of critical maintenance activities and managing a comprehensive maintenance program at the plant. It will drive process improvement initiatives and small to mid‑sized capital project expenditures and lead PSM programs including but not limited to PSRM 06 Contractors and PSRM 08 Mechanical Integrity.

• Lead and develop the maintenance technicians.
• Develop, maintain, and manage a yearly maintenance budget.
• Scope, develop, and execute small to mid‑sized capital projects for the site.
• Owner and superuser of the CMMS system.
• Responsible for the maintenance workflow process, including execution and documentation of work.
• Create and communicate a daily schedule compliance report.
• Main point of contact for contractors and vendors Nufarm uses.
• Work with purchasing to modify vendor purchase orders, bids, or contract management; add or change vendors as needed.
• Work with HSE personnel to ensure and support appropriate procedures, training, tools, incident investigations, and metrics align with Nufarm standards for assigned units.
• Drive PSM programs, including but not limited to PSRM 06 Contractors and PSRM 08 Mechanical Integrity.

You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or have greater than 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance department, or 5–10 years of chemical, manufacturing, or process plant experience, including experience with chemical processing and/or packaging equipment. The right candidate will be able to identify, drive, and implement key equipment or process improvements working with plant management, quality, safety, supervisors, engineering, operators, etc.

You will also be able to identify root cause and corrective actions, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.

The base salary for this position ranges from $74,000 per year in our lowest geographic market to $93,000 per year in our highest geographic market, depending on location and experience. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Nufarm offers total compensation that may include additional forms of compensation as part of a comprehensive package, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
