Position OverviewThe Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire a dynamic, self‑motivated, Supportive Housing Services Manager for the Office of Housing Stability, Bureau of Permanent Housing and Supportive Services’ Unit. This position serves as a full‑line supervisor managing the Permanent Supportive Housing Services Unit; manages and implements existing and/or new program policies, procedures, and program objectives/goals to promote compliance with state and federal mandates as delineated in the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS)/Division of Family and Community Services (DFCS) Grantmaking Manual, Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA), and Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act;
reviews, analyzes, and generates written reports regarding proposed and/or existing legislation, statutes, best practices, and/or administrative rules as it relates to the unit; facilitates routine onsite and/or virtual meetings (Web Ex) and/or training sessions with grantees and other pertinent internal and external entities to discuss and share information about effective program design and deliverables, (policies & procedures, schedules, and service delivery;
in the absence of the Bureau Chief, oversees other Bureau programs and staff; creates, monitors, maintains, implements, and/or resolves issues associated with required data systems to access, generate, and disseminate data and documentation for internal and external entities regarding the unit programs; and performs other duties as assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties of the unit.
