The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $20.70. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.
Join Our Team as a finisher!Are you passionate about metal finishing? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our metal finishing function. As a finisher, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The Finishing System is a process designed to pre-treat metal (i.e., powder coat and liquid paint) to protect it from the environment. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity and must meet requirements within predetermined time constraints.
Tasks require the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.
- Assist with loading and unloading parts into racks, barrels, and baskets for heat treating, cleaning, and electroplating.
- Monitor the basic functions of heat treatment machinery and auxiliary equipment, under guidance from more senior team members.
- Document temperatures and time exposure for parts during heat treatment and electroplating processes.
- Clean and remove grease from parts using Ransohoff machines and ensure parts are properly prepared for electroplating.
- Metal Finishing equipment such as sand, vapor and metal sprayers to the job description.
- Follow instructions to control the sequence and order of parts for processing.
- Use basic measuring equipment to ensure part dimensions and plating thicknesses are within required tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
- Perform all tasks in compliance with established safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards.
- Display a willingness to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production deadlines are met, reporting any potential delays or issues promptly.
