Position DescriptionResponsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection and accuracy of natural gas measurement and control equipment. This includes a variety of EFM equipment, including but not limited to flow computers, gas chromatographs, SCADA equipment, regulators, temperature and pressure transducers, electronic and pneumatic controllers, relief valves, orifice meters, turbine meters, positive displacement metersand ultrasonic meters. Perform all work in compliance with company policies, procedures and tariff requirements.
Perform frequent audits of custody transfer meters and measurement data. Maintain acceptable DOT Operator Qualifications Compliance on related/assigned tasks. Required to respond to after hour “call outs” due to equipment and/or operational problems and must be willing to work overtime on an as needed basis. Reporting location:

South East Chicago Metropolitan Area. Must live within an hour from reporting location.
- Successful candidate will be provided with a company vehicle for work and commuting.
- Company will provide PPE work attire and job related tools and equipment.
- Company will provide paid on-the-job training.
- Entry level candidate is eligible to receive 120 hours of prorated paid time off (PTO).
- Position is eligible for approved overtime pay and paid call-outs. Paid call-out rate is 1.5 times the hourly rate for a minimum of 2 hours if site work is required.
- Position is eligible for a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off.
- Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document and complete work with a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to stay on assigned regulatory and contractual schedule.
- The ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
- Must be proficient in computer software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Windows) and be able to manipulate large spreadsheets and databases.
- Ability to actively support the region’s safety program.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electronic and electrical equipment and controls.
- Ability to perform basic mechanical work associated with natural gas facilities.
- Required to maneuver up to 100 pound with the assistance of safety devices such as bottle carts or hand carts.
- Required to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and have a driving record acceptable to company standards.
- Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance.
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules, as well as, take on additional job responsibilities as needed.
- Travel may be required and anticipated inside and outside of the assigned area.
- Candidates with experience in a related field or discipline who do not possess the above requirements will be considered. The successful candidate will be provided on-the-job training and must pass progressive testing over a 48 month period from a level1 technician to a level 4 technician. Candidates with higher levels of skill and experience may be brought on at alevel 2 or higher.
