Shortage Control Associate (SCA) responsibilities include monitoring store entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas to mitigate theft, engaging customers, reporting incidents, supporting store security programs, and providing training to associates.

• Maintain professional appearance and presence at all times, wearing the required uniform, radio, and earpiece.
• Stand at the front of the store and remain vigilant, greeting every customer with a warm smile.
• Observe and reduce opportunities for theft, shoplifting, and other dishonest activities.
• Report theft incidents and suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Provide support and guidance on shortage reduction training and safety best practices.

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and visually monitor the store for extended periods.
• Excellent communication with customers and coworkers.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to foster productive relationships.
• Excellent decision making in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and analyze business trends.
