Job SummaryThe Dispensary Supervisor assists with day‑to‑day operations of the retail store and provides support for the management team. This position maintains best‑in‑class customer service while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards. The supervisor sets performance standards and keeps associates motivated.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide best‑in‑class customer service to customers.
- Follow and uphold established policies for sales and customer service to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of all store products and strains, share and train team members.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels; communicate action items with Assistant Manager and General Manager.
- Assist all associates in consulting customers to recommend appropriate products based on consumption methods.
- Complete and appropriately delegate tasks assigned during the shift, including:
- Correct cash handling
- Accurate use and maintenance of the point of sale (POS) system
- Timely data entry in the POS and inventory tracking systems
- Verification of order deliveries for accuracy
- Adherence to security and safety compliance
- Maintenance of an organized and clean store
- Management of visitor log
- End‑of‑day update emails
- Vault accuracy
- Work with the management team to ensure operations run smoothly and comply with applicable rules and regulations.
- Conduct daily maintenance and data collection for reported issues and/or complaints.
- Open and close the store following procedures.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new staff in partnership with the management team.
- Cannabis experience required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong retail math skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years in a supervisory or management role in retail with POS business operations.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic.
- Understanding of applicable state and local laws and regulations; personnel law; safety regulations; local codes; organizational rules, directives, and SOPs.
- Must remain compliant with regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry.
- Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to internalize training and follow instructions.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
