Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $/yr

Our growing real estate organization is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our team in Chicago. This role is responsible for managing the financial operations of a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

• Oversee property-level accounting, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Prepare and review financial statements for assigned properties in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform bank reconciliations, variance analysis, and cash flow reporting.
• Work with accounts payable and receivable processes for property operations.
• Collaborate with property managers and asset management teams to support budgeting and forecasting.
• Utilize Yardi software for property accounting and reporting.
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• 3+ years of property accounting experience (required).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and property-level financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
