Accounting Transformation - Director

In today’s fast‑paced environment, accounting organizations are expected to deliver more with fewer resources—and to do it faster. Riveron supports its clients in assessing current processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing tools and automation to streamline routine tasks, enabling accounting teams to focus on more strategic, high‑value contributions to the business.

Our Accounting Operations & Transformation services include close acceleration, accounting shared services design and implementation, data clean‑up, accounting remediation, interim or outsourced services, and rapid diagnostics to assess risks and opportunities for scale.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or a related field of study
  • CPA a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a consulting/advisory role, likely including audit and accounting advisor/improvement roles
  • Experience with process improvement efforts including close acceleration, broader record‑to‑report processes, and potentially procure‑to‑pay, fixed assets, and order‑to‑cash
  • Experience with accounting automation technologies such as Blackline, Flo Qast, Alteryx, Workiva, or ERP functionality to unlock efficiencies
  • Passion for developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Results‑oriented with a sense of humor
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create compelling stories from data
  • Thrives in an ever‑changing, dynamic work environment
  • Proactive problem‑solver who instinctively looks for solutions
  • Enjoys participating in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, and firm events
  • Able and willing to travel as required based on client location
What You’ll Do
  • Use general business and financial acumen to advise clients and develop solutions to a variety of problems related to people, process, and technology optimization
  • Partner directly with clients to support their needs and deliver on multiple concurrent high‑quality projects (average project duration: 2–6 months)
  • Partner with Managing Directors on pursuits, including proposal development and statement of work creation
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and service expansion with existing clients
  • Lead research and analysis on a range of financial, operations, and accounting issues related to business process optimization
  • Oversee the development of reports, presentations, and other client‑facing deliverables
  • Own planning of and successful delivery against project budget and work streams
  • Participate actively in the development of junior team members – both in client and internal settings – by providing coaching and performance feedback, and fostering a team‑based working culture
