We’re hiring an Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk with 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable, preferably in a services industry. The Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, client invoices, managing payments, reconciliations, budgeting, and supporting collections activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, a problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
This role offers opportunity to grow into expanded responsibilities within the finance department.
- Process and enter accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage accounts receivable invoicing, payment posting, and follow‑ups on outstanding balances.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month‑end WIP closing and reconciliation.
- Compile and analyze client projects and internal department budgets.
- Communicate with vendors and customers regarding payment status and inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Support compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and workflows.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable roles; preferably in a services industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software;
Net Suite and Tipalti experience strongly preferred. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of payment processing best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Hybrid to the Chicago office.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

The annual salary range for this role in the Chicago market is $50k - $65k in base pay, and the base pay offered will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis based on experience, skills, training, certifications, education, etc.,
and will be informed by market data.
