Francis Construction Group is a Chicago-based general contractor and certified MBE/DBE firm performing both GC and self‑performed subcontractor work. We partner on public, institutional, and commercial projects, and we are experiencing continued growth heading into 2026.
We are seeking a highly organized AP / Purchasing Coordinator to support our accounting and operations teams. This role is ideal for someone detail‑oriented, proactive, and interested in growing within a construction or professional services environment.
Position OverviewThe AP / Purchasing Coordinator will support accounts payable and purchasing activities by preparing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, organizing receipts, and assisting with invoice processing. Construction experience is not required, but a strong attention to detail and willingness to learn is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and issue purchase orders for materials, rentals, trucking, and services
- Track deliveries, tickets, and receipts from vendors and field teams
- Organize documentation to support invoice approval and payment
- Assist with three‑way matching (purchase order, receipt, vendor invoice)
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, documentation, and discrepancies
- Upload and organize documents in company systems (e.g., Procore, shared drives)
- Support the accounting team with accounts payable processing
- Maintain organized records for auditing and compliance purposes
- Strong organizational and follow‑up skills
- Comfortable working with invoices, receipts, and documentation
- Basic computer proficiency (Excel, email, document management)
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes
- Construction, accounting, or purchasing experience
- Familiarity with Quick Books or Procore
- Full‑time, Monday–Friday
- Office‑based in Chicago (hybrid flexibility may be considered after training)
