- Transform nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission.
- Financial reporting for management and Board decision making and presentations.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures to support client strategy and best practices.
- Handle transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintain work papers.
- Perform analysis and data visualization, budgeting and forecasting.
- Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting.
- Prepare for and manage annual audit.
- Provide client and staff training opportunities.
- Passionate about working in or supporting non‑profit organizations.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- 5‑7+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience working in a remote environment preferred.
- Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and be responsive on a timely basis.
- Demonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with multiple GL packages, especially Quick Books, and electronic bill pay systems.
- Non‑profit accounting, public accounting experience, and/or consulting experience is a plus but not required.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Bilingual — English/Spanish a plus.

- Standard 35‑hour full‑time work week, with eligibility for paid overtime for non‑exempt employees.

- 4 weeks paid time off (including 100 hours paid vacation to start; eligibility for additional vacation based on tenure and a minimum 40 hours sick time, subject to applicable state law).
