The Senior Property Accounting Analyst will be responsible for day-to-day accounting oversight, reporting, cash management, and operational support for real estate investments. The role partners closely with portfolio management, property managers, administrators, and internal leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and scalable processes.
This position reports to a Property Accounting Manager and plays a key role in supporting ongoing platform growth.
Base pay range$85,000.00/yr - $/yr
Additional compensation types- Annual Bonus
- Review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules from third-party property managers and administrators
- Assist with development, review, and analysis of budgets and forecasts
- Monitor cash flow requirements and coordinate with banking partners on account setup and operational needs
- Support implementation, enhancement, and integration of accounting systems and third-party platforms
- Maintain oversight of accounting records for real estate holding entities
- Ensure all required client and internal reporting is accurate and delivered on time
- Prepare annualized income and expense projections to support cash flow planning
- Calculate and analyze excess cash flow and distribution schedules
- Prepare journal entries within property accounting systems as needed
- Support annual audits and tax reporting processes
- Coordinate with third-party administrators, property managers, valuation firms, and international counterparts
- Lead or support operational improvement initiatives focused on scalability and efficiency
- Review invoices and facilitate payments via wire or formal payment instructions
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate accounting, real estate investment platforms, or public accounting with real estate exposure
- Experience with property development accounting preferred
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with property accounting systems (Yardi preferred)
- Proven experience overseeing and managing third-party service providers
- Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
