Summary of Position

The Senior Accounting Manager serves as the senior accounting leader for the tag business unit and is responsible for the accuracy, integrity and timely completion of the company’s accounting and financial reporting. This position reports directly to the company President, works closely with the C&F Enterprises Vice President of Finance and directly supervises one Accounts Payable employee and two Accounts Receivable employees.

Responsibilities include financial statement preparation, month-end and year-end close, cash-flow forecasting, budget preparation, variance analysis, inventory accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable and the maintenance of effective accounting controls. The Senior Accounting Manager will assign work across the accounting team, establish priorities and hold the team accountable for timely and accurate results.

Achieves accounting operational objectives by ensuring compliance with regulations while verifying the integrity and accuracy of timely financial data. Contributes financial information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.

Embrace AI & Technology — Use ERP capabilities, automation, AI and other tools appropriately to improve productivity, analysis, controls and reporting.

Operate with Urgency — Manage competing priorities and deadlines with an appropriate sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and sound judgment.

Develop the Team — Set clear expectations, provide timely feedback and help accounting team members improve their skills, performance and understanding of the business.
