Vaco is hiring for a Senior Corporate Accountant opportunity in Chicago IL
Direct Hire, Onsite
Salary: /yr + Bonus
Position SummaryThe Sr Corporate Accountant supports the corporate accounting function by preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations, and by contributing to month-end financial reporting and analysis. This role works closely with the Assistant Controller to support the annual audit, identify process improvements, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of general accounting activity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and roll forwards
- Support the annual audit
- Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
- Support month-end financial reporting and other analysis
- Identify and propose accounting process improvements and enhancements
- Review variances between actual and budget results
- Review general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness
- Support other corporate accounting activities as needed
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
