IDR is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and technical accounting activities within a professional services organization. The company specializes in providing financial solutions and consulting services to various industries.
Position Overview for the Finance & Accounting Manager:- Support the firm's financial reporting and technical accounting functions.
- Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual U.S. GAAP financial statements and related reports.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
- Partner with various finance teams and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Play a key role in enhancing and managing the firm’s financial reporting environment using Workiva.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; active CPA license required.
- Six or more years of progressive experience in accounting, external audit, financial reporting, or controllership.
- Experience in preparing or auditing U.S. GAAP financial statements and disclosures.
- Knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting including documentation and remediation.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, consolidations, financial close processes, and account reconciliations.
