Internal Auditor

Canonical is a technology company focused on open source software and global software delivery. This role owns the design and execution of internal audit processes across multiple corporate entities, reporting to the CFO and supporting global expansion.

• Establish and maintain internal audit infrastructure, including templates, risk registers, and reporting cadences
• Conduct end-to-end internal audit cycles from planning to documentation
• Evaluate global policies to identify gaps and work with owners on scalable improvements
• Partner with stakeholders to identify elevated risks and drive corrective actions
• Deliver actionable risk and controls insights to senior leadership
• Develop risk-based internal audit programs and monitor remediation to closure

• Strong academic background with undergraduate degree in a quantitative field
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Experience in an internal audit function
• Professional English communication and presentation skills
• Thoughtful, self-motivated, and accountable with cross-functional collaboration ability
• Willingness to travel internationally 2-4 times a year for company events
