CGS is seeking a Paralegal to process electronic legal instruments, assist with trial prep and hearings, and provide additional legal support for a large federal agency.
Responsibilities- Provide examination of legal instruments.
- Review legal instruments for completeness and proper execution.
- Support Litigation Support Unit, attorneys and paralegals with functional and administrative duties.
- Determine correctness of action per Government regulations, procedures, etc.
- Research records to ascertain conditions that might preclude action.
- Assist with processing data and evidence for cases and completing discovery productions.
- Assist with preparation of trial and hearing presentations and demonstratives.
- Collect and compile statistical data for reports.
- Provide assistance within Administrative Division on project‑based work and coverage of administrative duties during employee vacations.
- Proficiency with software and databases including Microsoft Suite.
- Attention to detail and ability to read and follow directions.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Two‑year undergraduate degree or equivalent.
