Project & Content and Pre‑Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Project & Content and Pre‑Sales Manager to assume full ownership of our critically important projects; one example is the Ulysses Calendar (). This role is a strategic blend of meticulous project management, targeted marketing, and content creation, directly contributing to client retention and business development efforts. The successful candidate will be the sole point of accountability for the publication's accuracy, production timeline, distribution strategy, and lead generation impact.

Core

Responsibilities and Accountabilities I. Annual Publication Production & Quality Assurance
  • Project Leadership: Own and manage the full annual production lifecycle of the Ulysses Calendar, ensuring strict adherence to timelines and budget.
  • Data Integrity & Vetting: Conduct comprehensive, high‑stakes quality assurance reviews of the existing calendar content. This includes exhaustive research, cross‑referencing, and verification to guarantee the absolute accuracy of all dates, data points, and associated details.
  • Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation of research sources, revision histories, and final content sign‑offs.
II. Strategic Marketing and Audience Engagement
  • Audience Development: Analyze and maintain a deep understanding of our core target audience to ensure the calendar's content and distribution strategy maximizes relevance and utility.
  • Lead Generation: Develop, segment, and maintain high‑quality lead lists to optimize distribution and follow‑up opportunities.
  • Distribution Logistics: Strategically plan and execute the logistical framework for both physical and digital distribution channels.
  • Event Management: Coordinate and manage distribution‑related client events, such as the annual "Cocktails & Calendars," overseeing all logistical elements to ensure a professional and valuable client experience.
  • Nurture Campaign Management: Design and deploy weekly, targeted email communications leveraging calendar content to maintain consistent audience engagement throughout the year.
III. Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
  • Opportunity Identification: Actively research the market and client base to identify new potential business opportunities that can be leveraged using the calendar platform or its associated content.
  • Partnership Cultivation: Initiate and nurture relationships with potential strategic partners whose alignment could enhance the value, reach, or revenue associated with the annual calendar.
  • Value Proposition: Articulate the value proposition of the calendar to prospective partners and business development leads.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Serve as the liaison between the content process and the business development function, ensuring content is created or adapted to support partnership goals and lead conversion.
IV. Content Repurposing and Value Maximization
  • Content Strategy: Proactively identify opportunities to create supplementary content (e.g., reports, social media posts, blog snippets) based on the core calendar data.
  • Content Generation: Develop and execute the creation of professional‑grade content derived from the publication.
  • Syndication: Efficiently adapt, edit, and repurpose key calendar data and insights for integration into other corporate marketing and communications platforms.
Candidate Profile &

Required Qualifications
  • Unparalleled Attention to Detail: Must possess a proven track record of meticulousness and a zero‑tolerance approach to errors in high‑visibility client materials.
  • Experience:

    3 years of Sales or Marketing experience is a must.
  • Project Management Acumen: Demonstrated success in managing complex, annual projects with defined deliverables and deadlines.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in professional email marketing and client correspondence.
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of CRM systems and email marketing platforms is preferred.
  • Work Arrangement: This is a full‑time, on‑site, in‑office position. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
  • Location: Must reside and work in Houston, TX.
