This role will serve as the Business Unit Compliance Officer for the Consumer Credit organization, responsible for second‑line compliance advisory and oversight globally. The Sr. Manager will support key business initiatives related to Pay Pal Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) products, providing expertise on Federal requirements such as FCRA, ECOA, Reg Z, Reg B, and UDAAP. The position enables business priorities with sound compliance management practices and processes.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Lead complex projects and problem‑resolution efforts related to risk management.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and analyze risks that may impact operations and assets.
- Develop and implement strategies for risk mitigation and compliance.
- Assess current business trends to inform risk‑management practices and improvements.
- Drive global process improvements through effective project management and stakeholder engagement.
- 8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Position Summary/Responsibilities:
This role is the Compliance point of contact for the Consumer Credit organization, supporting stakeholders across Global Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, and Product. It works directly with Product and senior leadership to provide coordinated advisory services for business initiatives.
- Foster close relationships across cross‑functional stakeholders and collaborate to enable compliant, customer‑centric solutions.
- Define compliance requirements and ensure they are fully understood and integrated into product development life cycles.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise on identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and managing compliance risk, including issue and incident oversight, risk assessment, regulatory change management, and complaint monitoring.
- Partner with the business to understand needs and develop process and control improvements.
- Collaborate on the identification and assessment of compliance risks associated with new products and services.
- Support the intake and review of product‑related initiatives, including new products, enhancements, regional expansion, and deprecation.
- Support ongoing and targeted compliance monitoring and testing against regulators, internal audit, first‑line testers, and second‑line testers.
- Identify and influence action across areas of increased compliance risk, propose solutions, and provide guidance for future avoidance.
- Provide regular updates and presentations to senior leadership on emerging risks, trends, and regulatory changes.
- Provide input into the development of risk and compliance reviews for senior leadership.
- Escalate timely and actionable information to key stakeholders.
- Experience in Compliance for financial services, banking, or payment systems, supporting business partners through product development stages.
- Experience in Compliance for Credit and BNPL products preferred, and providing product‑specific compliance advisory support.
- Excellent ability to analyze risks and recommend requirements and controls to mitigate them.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including influencing, conflict management, and negotiation.
