Job Description Summary
The Pay Pal Developer Relations (Dev Rel) team is transforming! Pay Pal for Developers is not business as usual. We reflect the world developers live and work in, know what they’re into, at any role or level of expertise. We’re the source of trust for developers that look for best practices, documentation and training, as well as the main point of contact for internal engineering teams who needs to understand the feedback and experiences of the developer community.
This role supports the automation and tooling needs as well as development of process improvement and standard operating procedures to achieve our scale and efficiency goals by developing and maintaining internal systems, policies and procedures. Candidate must be a creative, strategic problem solver with good interpersonal and business skills. This role will drive strategic initiatives for the company, especially the investment in AI for devs and assist in driving short, medium and long‑term plans to achieve both tactical and strategic objectives.
This is a critical role in Dev Rel and reports directly to the VP of Global Developer Relations. The Head of Ops & Strategy will regularly interact across functional areas with senior management and executives to ensure unit objectives are met. The ability to create win‑win situations, and influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important.
Essential Responsibilities
• Establish overall business or technical strategy for the business operations of aligned organization.
• Influence decisions as an advisor or counsel to business leadership.
• Drive strategic objectives and ensure resources are effectively allocated.
• Provide oversight and support for planning and management of financial, budget, and headcount targets.
• Act as a liaison between business leadership, staff, and other key partners.
• Optimize workflows and drive process improvements to enhance organizational performance.
• Drive and monitor Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to address gaps in business and operations.
Expected Qualifications
• 10+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation
The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable), equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. For more information, visit The U.S. national annual pay range for this role $185,030 - $221,660.
