Director of Contracts
At IPHI, we collaborate to advance health justice through equitable policy, systems and institutional change. We bring together healthcare providers, public health agencies, community-based organizations, government entities, and other stakeholders to address complex public health challenges and improve access to services and resources. Our work is carried out through a range of activities, including facilitating cross-sector collaboration, providing training and technical assistance, supporting organizational and system improvement efforts, engaging community partners, sharing information and best practices, and advocating for policy and systems level changes to improve health outcomes.
We work alongside our partners to develop practical, sustainable solutions that respond to the needs of the communities they serve. We are seeking individuals who are committed to improving public health, strengthening communities, and working collaboratively across organizations and disciplines. If you are passionate about systems change, partnership, continuous improvement, and making a meaningful impact through your work, we encourage you to explore opportunities to join our team.
The Director of Contracts provides strategic leadership and oversight for IPHI's contracting, grants administration, subrecipient, and related compliance functions. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director leads the development and management of systems, policies, procedures, and internal controls governing the full lifecycle of contracts, grants, subawards, consulting agreements, vendor agreements, and other contractual relationships. The Director serves as a strategic advisor to leadership and program teams on contractual requirements, negotiations, compliance and organizational obligations.
The Director independently assesses complex contractual issues, leads negotiations within established authority, identifies organizational risk, and coordinates with the COO when matters require legal review or executive decision-making. The Director also supports IPHI's expanding healthcare contracting portfolio, including contracts involving Medicaid, Medicaid managed care organizations, healthcare payers, providers, and other healthcare-sector partners. Experience with Medicaid payer contracting, managed care contracting, healthcare reimbursement arrangements, or related healthcare contracting is strongly preferred.

Experience with Medicaid, Medicaid managed care organizations, healthcare payer contracting, provider contracting, value-based payment arrangements, or other healthcare-sector contracting strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience negotiating, interpreting, and administering complex contracts and advising organizational leadership regarding contractual obligations and risk. Experience with federal grants, subawards/subrecipient requirements, government contracting, and applicable federal and state compliance requirements.
