• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine material, labor, and time costs
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate data
• Develop bid proposals and assist in contract negotiations
• Monitor project budgets and provide cost-saving recommendations
• Maintain updated knowledge of industry pricing, market trends, and construction methods

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• 3–5 years of experience in construction estimating
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of local building codes, materials, and labor rates in Chicago
