We are looking for a Data Center Construction Project Manager to support critical facility construction projects. The Construction PM will be responsible for all aspects of managing a data center construction project and act on the Owner’s behalf. This includes providing leadership to contractors and vendors associated with the delivery of company projects, with overall responsibility for delivering assigned projects on budget and on time, ensuring the project scope and quality meet Company Design Standards and project objectives.

The successful candidate should be exceptionally organized and comfortable with back-office work (change orders, budgets, paperwork, etc.).

• Maintain liaison with various contractors and vendors to manage day-to-day activities impacting the delivery of the company’s critical facilities construction projects
• Ensure that all day-to-day project responsibilities are met by the contractors and vendors on the project
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Negotiate contracts with vendors as necessary. Create and manage project schedules
• Put together project plans – sizing, costs, budget, scheduling, timeline, manage change orders, etc.
• Assist with reporting and RFPs to contractors
• Deliver Built to Suit projects with a heavy emphasis on value-engineering
• Drive Company Standards uniformly regarding Project Delivery by all project participants on all projects
• Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interests while maintaining good client relationships
• Represent the company in project meetings
• Act as key liaison with managers of all company departments
• Maintain all logs required to track project progress

• BA/BS a plus
• Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or as a General Contractor
• Experience managing a budget
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry
• Belong to and attend professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7×24 Exchange, PTC, Datacenter Dynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow, etc.
• Client facing / client relationship / client management skills
• Familiar with the design process of building systems for data centers and mission-critical projects
• Solid Construction Project Management experience
• Effective communication via email, phone, and in person
• Ability to work independently
• Travel as needed to project sites
• Solid administration skills
• Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera;
  AutoCAD a plus
• Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans is a huge plus, with experience in Electrical / Mechanical roles (e.g., Navy nukes – EMN, ETN, MMNs;
  Seabees;
  Army – Power Generation;
  Air Force – Power Production; Generator Technicians; Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.)
