CKL Engineers, LLC is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services Group in our offices in Chicago, Atlanta, and Orlando. The role focuses on transportation construction and involves working with clients and project teams to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.

$40.00/hr - $55.00/hr

• Serve as a Construction Inspector for select Construction Management Projects.
• Collaborate with internal staff and external partners.
• Continuously learn and grow as a lifelong learner.
• Communicate clearly with staff, colleagues, clients, and partners.
• Represent CKL positively by arriving appropriately dressed and on time.
• Work with the resident engineer and project team to fulfill all contract needs.
• Inspect items as needed within the scope of services.
• Complete daily inspector reports and record contractor activities.
• Attend construction weekly progress meetings.
• Understand and manage RFIs, change orders, and material submittals.
• Complete project closeout items.
• Use manuals, guidance, standards, and engineering judgment to provide construction engineering solutions.

• Minimum 2 years of construction management experience.
• IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities certification.
• Comfortable with technical writing.
• Client references required.
• IDOT QC/QA certifications preferred.
• E.I.T. preferred.
