Construction Project Manager - Residential Developments

Our client, a reputable developer specializing in high-quality residential properties, is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead diverse projects in the Tembisa, Gauteng area. This pivotal role involves the end-to-end management of construction projects, from initial planning and budgeting to final handover. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and client satisfaction.

• Lead and manage all phases of residential construction projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Procure and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to project schedules.
• Implement and enforce rigorous quality control and safety protocols on all sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Manage project finances, including cost control, invoicing, and payment approvals.
• Mitigate risks and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in construction project management, specifically within residential development.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction best practices.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites within the Gauteng region.
