Overview:

The WBBM-AM Traffic Center is looking for a professional to gather, write, and select traffic information to run in on-air radio traffic reports, online, and on social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering, writing, recording, editing, and delivering traffic reports.
• Monitoring of traffic gathering assets.
• Posting, editing, and managing traffic information to Audacy social media accounts.
• Voicing traffic reports on Audacy stations.
• Providing live reads of traffic sponsors.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Chicago area and traffic geography.
• Minimum of 2 years of traffic, news, and/or sports reporting for broadcast media.
• Computer literacy and excellent writing and presentation skills.

Preferred:

• Ability to gather traffic information.
• Knowledge of the broadcast area geography and transportation systems.
