Technical Producer

Managing Director at Black Oak Technical Productions

We’re looking for a Technical Producer to join the Black Oak Technical Productions team. This role blends sales, design, and production. You will work directly with clients to deliver high-impact live events across corporate, social, and gala sectors.

• Lead the full cycle of event production: sell, design, contract, and execute.
• Develop technical design solutions (lighting, audio, video, staging) in collaboration with our production team, clients, venues, and other partners.
• Design events, write proposals, secure contracts, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Act as the primary client contact and project manager across internal teams.
• Nurture new clients from Strangers to Family.

• A love for producing live, hybrid, and virtual events from first meeting through the last cue.
• Ability to imagine creative ideas from the clients vision.
• Understand how to turn those creative ideas into reality with strong technical knowledge of lighting, audio, video, and staging.
• Excellent client-facing communication and project management skills; someone our client’s will enjoy working with on their highest stakes projects.
• Comfort with both sales (designing amazing ideas, writing captivating proposals, closing exciting business) and production (running events end-to-end in tandem with our production team).
