Meteorologist

We’re looking for a dynamic, innovative, and experienced meteorologist to join our First Alert Weather team at CBS Chicago, the #3 market station in the Paramount portfolio of television stations.

• Prepare and deliver live or recorded weather reports and forecasts for linear, streaming and digital platforms, and deliver severe weather reporting as needed.
• Analyze weather data and synthesize the information into clear, easy‑to‑understand graphics.
• Present weather casts from our VR weather sphere, the news studio, or on‑location.

• A degree in Atmospheric Science or Meteorology.
• Must be skilled at telling a comprehensive and clear weather story, especially during extreme weather events.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be skilled at posting weather‑related information on social media channels.
• Must have 5+ years of related experience.
• NWA and/or AMS Certified meteorologist preferred.
