Associate Program Screener – Part Time
WGN-TV is looking for an Associate Program Screener to work in a dynamic broadcast environment. The role involves reviewing, creating edit decision lists, ensuring accurate timing of programs for Antenna TV, Rewind TV, WGN and News Nation, and assisting with program screening and preparation while guaranteeing accurate closed captioning and good video/audio quality. The candidate must identify appropriate content within programming in compliance with FCC and station guidelines.
Responsibilities- Review and create edit decision lists for broadcast content.
- Assure accurate timing of programs across multiple networks.
- Assist in program screening and prep, ensuring closed captioning accuracy.
- Maintain video and audio quality standards.
- Identify content compliance with FCC and station guidelines.
- 1‑2 years of experience in broadcasting or a related field.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Degree or coursework in Mass Communication, communications, or video production preferred.
- Experience with current generation broadcast media ingest systems a plus.
- Flexible work schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Self‑sufficient, press‑on‑regardless attitude and strong teamwork skills.
$16.60 to $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and skill level.

WGN‑TV facility seven miles northwest of downtown Chicago. Free on‑site parking for employees. Part‑time position with shift work covering nights, weekends and holidays.
