The

Opportunity

We’re looking for a hands‑on Motion Designer with a bold creative point of view and exceptional craft. This is a role for someone who is equally strong in concept and execution. A designer who doesn’t just make things move, but uses motion to tell compelling stories and elevate ideas.

You will leverage your expertise in designing and delivering motion content in many forms (2D, 3D, Real‑time, and Generative), supporting work that goes far beyond traditional digital environments. From brand and web experiences to spatial, immersive, and experiential installations, you’ll bring ideas to life with precision, taste, and intent.

You’ll be a true creative partner, collaborating closely with producers and creative directors to develop and shape concepts and raise the quality of the work. We’re looking for someone who is hungry, passionate about doing cool, meaningful work, and excited to roll up their sleeves to make it happen.

This role is ideal for a multidisciplinary motion designer who thrives on creative challenges, takes pride in execution, and is driven by craft, curiosity, and impact.

This is a hybrid position based out of any of our three offices:
Chicago, Irvine, or San Diego.

What You’ll Do
  • Concept, design, and animate high‑impact motion content across a variety of modes—2D, 3D and generative.
  • Visualize immersive experiences for pitch and production (3D spatial visualization, previz, etc.)
  • Participate in production workflows from concept to delivery in collaboration with producers and creative tech teams.
  • Aid in the development of internal toolkits and workflows to tackle projects most efficiently and effectively.
  • Explore emerging tools and trends within the motion design world (Unreal, Unity, Touch Designer, Generative AI) and integrate them into our pipeline.
  • Provide creative and technical oversight across multiple projects with attention to craft and efficiency.
Qualities and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a studio or agency environment, with a strong portfolio of diverse motion work.
  • Excellent design fundamentals—composition, typography, storytelling—and how they translate into motion.
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects; strong 3D skills in Cinema 4D (or equivalent); bonus for Fusion, Unreal, Unity, or Touch Designer.
  • Advanced understanding of production pipelines and post workflows, including cloud rendering.
  • Experience designing for both screen and space (installations, architecture, exhibits, retail)
  • Strong communicator with a collaborative spirit and a passion for great design.
What We Offer

The total compensation for this position (including base salary and benefits) is between $95,000 and $105,000. Please note that this range is a guide, not a guarantee, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, work location, and the evolving needs of the business.
