We're seeking a Copywriter to join our growing team and lead the development of content that connects, inspires, and converts. This is a unique opportunity for a creative, strategic, and detail-obsessed storyteller who is fluent in the language of luxury, style, and design.
Your RoleYou’ll be the voice behind 2
Modern’s most visible moments — shaping messaging across site, email, social, product pages, editorial features, and more. You’ll champion our editorial standards, guide the development of our brand voice and bring a clear point of view to everything from brand storytelling to trend‑forward campaigns.
This role sits at the intersection of marketing and creative: equal parts brand strategy, storytelling and performance‑minded copywriting.
What You’ll Do- Own and champion 2
Modern’s brand voice across all channels — from email campaigns and social captions to product descriptions, homepage headlines, and editorial stories - Write, edit, and optimize high‑performing copy for onsite features, landing pages, ads, SEO pages, email, and SMS
- Lead and evolve our editorial platform and voice guide — driving content that reflects 2
Modern’s vision, values, and elevated aesthetic - Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, merchandising, creative, and trade teams to support seasonal initiatives and promotions
- Apply a data‑informed lens to content development, balancing creativity with performance (e.g., keyword research, trend insights, conversion metrics)
- Stay ahead of industry trends, cultural shifts, and design conversations to keep 2
Modern at the forefront of modern storytelling
- An editorial‑minded writer with an unmistakable tone, sharp eye, and creative confidence
- Passionate about interior design, fashion, and culture, with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and aesthetics
- Strategic and analytical — you think in both headlines and KPIs
- A true self‑starter: agile, adaptable, and energized by collaboration
- Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, remote‑first team environment
- 3+ years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or editorial — ideally for a design‑forward or luxury e‑commerce brand
- Proven ability to craft compelling content across channels and formats
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices and performance‑driven storytelling
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, content publishing workflows, and cross‑functional collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field (preferred)
