Customer Service Representative - Driving

Join SP+ (SP Plus) as a Customer Service Representative – Driving. This role is part of our mission to deliver checkout‑free parking experiences through advanced computer vision technology.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure highest quality customer service and assist the maintenance team with keeping common areas near entrances and exits clean.
  • Assist customers in making payments at fully automated revenue control equipment.
  • Help customers with parking services and facilitate the expedient flow of traffic through the facility.
  • Lead programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the day‑to‑day management of the assigned location.
  • Monitor parkers in pay‑in lanes.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide assistance to customers who have forgotten where they parked.
  • Perform other necessary functions as assigned.
  • Conduct garage and facility audits as required by management.
  • Count revenue at the beginning of each shift to ensure totals are correct.
  • Make change for customers prior to transactions.
  • Quote rates for parking services.
  • Give directions to various city locations.
  • Resolve customer complaints independently or with supervisor aid.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously (if required).
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and pick up surrounding trash.
  • Present oneself professionally (neat appearance and uniform) at all times.
  • Arrive to work on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Complete any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications

Education Required: High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Experience

Required:

Experience with automated parking access control hardware and software or a high aptitude for technology.

Availability: Ability to work various shifts including 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and weekends as required.

License Requirement: Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and make change.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read, write, and interpret English; effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings.

Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense and tackle problems in standardized situations.

Adaptability: Adapt to changes and handle unexpected events.

Judgment: Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.

Other

Skills:

Use of clock, calculator, or credit‑card machine; maintain a pleasant demeanor on the telephone; proactively solve customer problems; lead by example; flexible schedule.

Work Environment: Moderate to loud noise, moderate to high vehicle emissions, moderate to high temperature extremes, exposure to all weather, bright sunlight and nighttime conditions.

Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, hand use, reaching, and close vision.

Salary Range

$21.00 – $23.00 per hour.
