Luxury Travel Advisor – Independent Contractor
Paul Klein Travel, a premier luxury travel agency based in Chicago, is seeking a highly experienced and passionate Luxury Travel Advisor to join our dedicated team of travel professionals. With decades of expertise in crafting bespoke travel experiences, we pride ourselves on delivering unparalleled service and personalized itineraries for our discerning clientele.
Key Responsibilities- Design and curate tailor‑made luxury travel itineraries, including flights, accommodations, tours, and exclusive experiences.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients by understanding their unique preferences, needs and aspirations.
- Leverage an extensive network of global travel partners to access VIP amenities, upgrades and exclusive opportunities.
- Stay current on luxury travel trends, destinations and emerging experiences to provide innovative travel solutions.
- Proactively manage bookings, payments and follow‑ups to ensure seamless client experiences from start to finish.
- Handle unexpected travel disruptions or changes with professionalism and poise.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a luxury travel advisor, preferably with a high-net-worth client base.
- Deep knowledge of luxury travel destinations, properties and suppliers worldwide.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills with a client‑focused mindset.
- Proven ability to manage complex itineraries with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong sales acumen with a history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Familiarity with travel booking platforms and GDS systems (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, or Galileo).
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Passion for travel and a commitment to providing extraordinary experiences.
- Established relationships with global travel suppliers and industry connections.
- Certification in luxury travel or affiliation with elite travel networks (e.g., Virtuoso, Travel Leaders).
- Skilled in MS Office Suite, Trip Suite, Sabre, and Axus.
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
