Dentologie is seeking a full-time
Dental Assistant
(
at least 6 months of DA experience required
)to provide outstanding patient care in our north Chicago, IL office(s).

Regarding work schedule, Monday - Thursday our offices have a morning shift (7:30am-2:30pm) and an evening shift (1:30 or 2:30 pm-8:30pm). On Friday, we have one shift from 7:30am-3:30pm. As a full-time employee, we would ask that you are comfortable working Monday-Friday and 5 shifts per week, with 3 morning shifts and 2 evening shifts.

Dentologie is comprised of 13 office locations
in the Chicagoland area, including:
Andersonville, Belmont, Lincoln Park, South Loop, Streeterville, Bucktown, West Loop, Evanston, Clark & Diversey, Gold Coast, River North, Southport, and Oak Park/River Forest.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties.
  • Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of patients during a variety of operative treatment procedures.
  • Provide a 10-star Patient experience.
  • Contribute positively to an engaging company culture.
  • Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures.
  • Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, orthodontics, pediatric, endodontic, periodontics, prosthodontics and oral surgery.
  • Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry).
  • Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair while preparing them for treatment.
  • Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment.
  • Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.
  • Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.
  • Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment.
  • Monitor daily supplies for restocking.
  • Assists the dentist in providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
  • Follows infection control protocol by preparing and sterilizing instruments, equipment, and all clinical settings.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Required:

    at least six monthsof dental assistant experience.
  • Exemplifying Professionalism, Positivity &Personality!
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Preferred: coronal polishing certificate.
