  Skills:
  
  Efficiency assisting during procedures (know the dentist's needs), infection control and sterilization up to OSHA's standards, proficient in diagnostic imaging (x-rays, ceph, CBCT), dental material & instrument knowledge, and stellar patient etiquette.
• Effective Communication: Must be able to explain procedures clearly to patients (and simply), communicate professionally amongst your team and to patients, build rapport, ease patient anxiety, team collaboration, and maintain confidentiality (HIPAA standards).
• Critical thinking: Problem solving skills, must be able to adapt to unexpected circumstances, attention to detail - ensure precision with documentation, infection control, and assisting procedures.

• Has the patience of a saint and the reflexes of a cat
• Is reliable, fun, and maybe a little obsessed with organization
• Can turn a nervous patient into a raving fan
