The Staff Dentist is responsible for providing quality dental care to patients of all ages. Provides operational assistance to assure quality of care and service in a cost-effective manner, which is consistent with the applicable state standards for licensure for the position and the organizational practice guidelines.

• Provide dental services in an outpatient setting in an organized and efficient manner.
• Provide comprehensive oral health care through treatment with preventive and restorative techniques or through referrals to outside sources for services beyond the scope of organizational practice.
• Prescribe and/or plan appropriate and effective treatment.
• Ensure integration of patient education into all treatment phases.
• Effectively document patient visit notes, orders, calls, clinical or other records as required.
• Demonstrate teamwork by working effectively with all team members, attending and participating actively in group meetings, and conferring with leadership.
• Participate in the school based, mobile, and external rotation dental programs and grants as needed.
• Participate in QI meetings, peer review sessions, and special projects or activities that promote continuous improvement.

• Active Illinois Dental License in good standing
• DMD or DDS degree from an accredited program
• Active DEA registration
• Current BLS certification
