Requirements
Project Leadership
• Serve as the primary client contact and project lead on multiple hospitality projects, ensuring design excellence and successful delivery.
• Define project scope, schedule, and budget in collaboration with leadership and clients.
• Facilitate all phases of design: concept, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
Design Management
• Guide and inspire the project team, providing clear creative direction while ensuring adherence to brand and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, vendors, and contractors to achieve project goals.
• Oversee selection and specification of FF&E, finishes, and materials aligned with the design intent and budget.
Technical & Financial Oversight
• Ensure quality and accuracy of drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and identify value-engineering opportunities when needed.
• Track and maintain project schedules, anticipating and resolving potential delays.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
• Lead client presentations and progress meetings.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and positive referrals.
• Coordinate with hotel brand representatives to ensure compliance with brand standards.
Mentorship & Team Development
• Mentor junior designers and project managers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance studio culture.
• Share best practices and support the growth of The Gettys Group's design process and reputation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (NCIDQ certification preferred).
• 10+ years of professional interior design experience with a minimum of 5 years in a project management role, ideally in hospitality.
• Proven experience managing luxury and/or branded hotel projects from concept through installation.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality design trends, operational requirements, and brand standards.
• Expertise in project budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Proficiency AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Deltek Vantagepoint (preferred).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel for site visits, client meetings, and installations as required.
