Academic Cytopathologist​/Cytopathologist-Surgical Pathologist

The Department of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor. The role involves clinical service in the Cytopathology Division, which handles approximately 35,000 cases annually and includes a highly active fine needle aspiration/core biopsy interventional service. The Surgical Pathology Division offers subspecialty sign-out, collaborating closely with other departments such as Hematopathology and Diagnostic Molecular Pathology.

Faculty are also expected to engage in research and actively participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

• MD or MD/PhD
• Board certified in AP or AP/CP
• Board certified or eligible in cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology
• Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Illinois
• Fellowship training in oncologic surgical pathology or related subspecialty is preferred

The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled. The expected base salary ranges from $250,000 to $300,000, determined by experience and qualifications.
