Are you an experienced MD looking to give back, gain flexibility, or supplement your current practice?
Southern Health Partners is looking for a Medical Director to join our correctional healthcare team at the Shelby County Jail
.
This isn't your typical medical job — it's a chance to provide essential care, lead a team, and work with purpose… all in just one short day a week
.
Provide oversight and direction for on-site medical services delivered by our full-time nursing staff
Review charts, prescribe medications, and see patients as needed during your weekly visit
Support and supervise clinical staff, upholding high-quality standards of care
Remain available to nursing staff for phone consults or direction (limited, low volume)
No insurance billing. No paperwork overload. No malpractice costs.
