The Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Division of Cardiology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seek a full‑time non‑tenure‑eligible Clinician‑Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor.
Responsibilities- Attend as attending physician in the Heart Failure and Heart Transplant program, providing comprehensive care for children with advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathies, and pre‑ and post‑heart transplant patients.
- Manage patients on mechanical circulatory support devices including ventricular assist devices (VADs), evaluate and optimize transplant candidates, provide long‑term follow‑up care for heart transplant recipients, and coordinate multidisciplinary care with cardiac surgery, infectious disease, and other subspecialties.
- Supervise and train cardiology fellows in advanced heart failure management, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and collaborate on clinical research projects.
- M.D. or D.O. eligible for an Illinois medical license.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology.
- Completion of a categorical fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology with demonstrated expertise in advanced heart failure management and transplant cardiology.
Start date is negotiable. Position will remain open until filled.
Base pay range: $231,199 – $422,491.
