Pediatric Rheumatologist to provide ambulatory and inpatient care to pediatric patients with rheumatologic illnesses at the Children's Hospital of Illinois. The role is part of a large pediatric group providing outpatient and inpatient services. Partners include the adult Rheumatologist at OSF Saint Francis Hospital and other children’s hospitals in Illinois. The department supports research and educational needs of the successful candidate.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide acute and ongoing consultative care to children with rheumatologic illnesses in both the hospital and outpatient settings.
- Participate in education and training programs for medical students, residents, and fellows in the Department of Pediatrics.
- Participate in collaborative research activities of the Division of Rheumatology and the department.
- Perform other duties of a university faculty member, including committee assignments, curriculum development and student counseling.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

UICOMP is one of the three regional campuses of the University of Illinois College of Medicine. The Department of Pediatrics is one of the largest at UICOMP, working together with OSF Health Care Children's Hospital of Illinois to provide general pediatric and subspecialty services.
The department has 19 divisions and over 145 faculty members, a dedicated research office, a biostatistician, and an internal research funding mechanism.
Located in Peoria, OSF Health Care Children's Hospital of Illinois is the third largest pediatric hospital in Illinois, with 136 beds and more than 140 subspecialists. The facility handles over 7,000 inpatient admissions, 75,000 outpatient visits, 2,400 newborn deliveries, and 18,000 emergency visits each year.
