Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Pediatrics-Cardiology

Base pay range: $230,000 - $313,933 per year.

The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks Pediatric & Fetal Echocardiology candidates for a pediatric cardiology faculty position. This cardiologist will work primarily at OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois.

Position Summary

Clinical activities will include outpatient clinics, inpatient rotations, imaging, and participation in the multi‑disciplinary Fetal Care Center. Travel to outreach clinics is required, approximately 1 day per week.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Patient care duties including inpatient, outpatient, and echocardiography
  • Satellite clinics in the region
  • On-call duties for pediatric & congenital cardiology
  • Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Academic efforts including original research and quality improvement
  • Imaging QI for Echo
Minimum Qualifications
  • MD/DO or foreign equivalent
  • Eligible for licensure in Illinois
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Cardiology
  • 3 years pediatric residency + 3 years pediatric cardiology fellowship or equivalent
  • Significant experience or formal training in Pediatric & Fetal Echocardiography
