Overview

Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital, located in Chicago, Illinois, is a top provider of behavioral healthcare to children and adults. What makes us different is we provide treatment at three distinct locations
, offering separate inpatient and outpatient settings for children and adults.

Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital provides acute inpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older, while Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital for Children & Teens offers inpatient programming for children and adolescents ages 3-17. By having separateinpatient locations, we can create treatment settings that are as comfortable as possible for each population.

In addition to our inpatient facilities, we have an outpatient treatment center where we provide intensive outpatient programming (IOP) for adolescents ages 12-17 and adults age 18 and older. At this location, patients can receive mental health and dual diagnosis treatment in a structured setting while also fulfilling their daily obligations, like going to school, working, caring for their families, and maintaining social relationships.

Overview

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Board certification Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
