My role also involves liaising with community physicians and health care professionals to enhance the overall health service delivery.
Responsible for the delivery of participant care, for clinical outcomes, and for the implementation, as well as oversight, of the quality improvement program. The Medical Director provides clinical leadership for the care and treatment of participants of program using primary care concepts, emphasizing prevention of illness and the promotion of healthy lifestyles. This position provides clinical direction and guidance to the program and staff to assure the maintenance of quality care for participants and families.
They are ultimately responsible for medical outcomes and serve as a liaison between the program and community physicians, as well as with others engaged in health care services. This position and/or their designees provide direct medical care as needed to participants in the home, the center, and in other multiple healthcare settings.
