Faculty members at any rank (instructor–professor) who have academic interests in inflammatory bowel disease, motility (including esophageal and anorectal manometry), and short bowel/intestinal transplant will be considered.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide clinical care in IBD, short bowel/intestinal transplant, and motility, performing esophageal and anorectal manometry studies as appropriate.
- Engage in basic science research and clinical research, fostering scholarly activity.
- Teach trainees and mentor students, contributing to a robust educational program.
- Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned.
- MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
- Eligible to work in Illinois.
- Clinical focus in IBD, short bowel/intestinal transplant, or motility (with experience in esophageal and anorectal manometry).
- Interest in scholarly activity and teaching trainees.
- Additional experience in nutrition, including care of patients on total parenteral nutrition.
- Strong publication record and grant‑seeking experience.
- Experience in a structured fellowship program.
