Salary Range:
Assistant Professor $178,500 - $209,800 a year;
Associate Professor $214,300 - $268,000 a year;
Professor $272,600 - $346,300 a year
The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Nephrology, and Comer Children's Hospital seek full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will have experience in the care of all forms of kidney disease in children and will have experience in caring for children with End Stage Renal Disease. Appointees will be expected to participate in patient care at both Comer Children's Hospital and the Section's off-site locations in the Chicago area.
Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications.

The University of Chicago Medical Center is designated as a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and operates a nationally recognized burn unit. Comer Children's Hospital is an integrated children's hospital that offers a full complement of pediatric services with a total of 172 general pediatric, NICU, and PICU beds. The Department of Pediatrics includes over 170 full-time faculty members and postdoctoral researchers.
In addition to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, our faculty conducts cutting-edge translational and clinical research.
