Special Education Teacher
AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Special Education Teacher that is available for the 2024/2025 school year.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or universityIllinois Professional Educator License (PEL)Learning Behavior Specialist 1 Endorsement (LBS1) requiredProficiency in the subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPsAt least one year of self-contained classroom teaching experience with students with a variety of disabilities, including students with behavior disorders and other learning and cognitive delays, preferredMust possess strong communication and organizational skillsMust demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyMust have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructionsMay include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be requiredJob Description:
Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location. Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom that best suits your experience and skillset. Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week. Contract follows the academic district calendar.

$52-55/hour, $1,950 – $2,062.50 per week based on 37.5 hours
